Principal

Adrian Hernandez
Adrian Hernandez is a first-generation college student who was born and raised in the Dallas ISD. He attended L.P. Cowart Elementary and L.V. Stockard Middle School in Oak Cliff, and is proud to have graduated from the Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet at the Yvonne A Ewell Townview Center, becoming the first in his family to earn a high school diploma. Adrian completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Texas in San Antonio before entering the workforce.
At the recommendation of his high school criminal justice teacher, Adrian obtained his teaching certification and started working with at-risk and drop-out students. After this experience, he taught Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Social Studies at Woodrow Wilson High School and North Lake Early College High School in Dallas ISD. During his time at Woodrow Wilson High School, he earned his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. From 2015 to 2018, Adrian worked as an assistant principal at Jackson Technology Center in Garland ISD. He then returned to Dallas ISD and served as an Assistant Principal at Jose Joe May Elementary during the 2020-2021 school year, as well as at North Lake Early College High School from 2021-2023. Adrian also served as Principal Resident at CityLab High School and IDEA.
Adrian is happily married to his partner. Leah, and together they have two dogs named Beau and Charlie. During his free time, Adrian enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
