TSIA2 Testing and Preparation

TSIA2 Testing and Preparation

TSI is a state-legislated program designed to improve student success in college. Part of the program is an assessment to determine basic skills in reading, mathematics and writing. A passing score on the TSIA2 test is required in order to take most of the dual-credit courses on our Associate Degree crosswalks. TSIA2 scores also impact our State Accountability rating for College and Career Readiness.


Scoring Standards:

English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) Standard:

  • ELAR Score of 945+ AND Essay Score of 5 – 8
    OR
  • ELAR Score under 945 AND ELAR Diagnostic Level of 4 – 6 AND Essay Score of 5 - 8

TSIA2 Math Standard:
 
  • 950+
    OR
  • Math Score Under 950 AND Math Diagnostic Level of 6
