Ms. Bethany Crawford

German

Ever since growing up an English-speaker and German language learner in Germany, Bethany has had a passion for language learning and inclusivity in education. These passions lead her to graduate from Wheaton College in Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in German and Secondary Education with a certification to teach EAL.

Before coming to North Lake Early College High School, Bethany was proud to serve as a German Teacher at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in New Jersey from 2019 to 2021. Her goal while teaching has always been to create an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative proficiency-oriented language-learning environment. While at HCRHS, Bethany also had the opportunity to help write curriculum for the World Languages Department, as well as assist in leading the school’s German Club. Bethany received her Master of Arts in German from Middlebury College in 2022 and is excited to use her degree to teach Dual-Credit German and lead the German Club at North Lake ECHS.
