Email: hosegueda@dallasisd.org
Qualifications: Degrees: BA in Geography, Government - University of Texas at Austin
Certifications: Social Studies 7-12

Mr. Hector Osegueda

AP Human Geography; AP African-American Studies

Mr. Osegueda graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin this past spring and is honored to call North Lake home. He double majored in Geography and Government and has been working towards becoming a teacher since his second year of university under the guidance of the UTeach-Liberal Arts teacher preparation program. He was a student teacher at Stony Point High School in Round Rock ISD, and at Del Valle High School in Del Valle ISD. He has had the privilege of teaching lessons in AP Macroeconomics, Pre-IB Geography, and World Geography classrooms.

As a first-generation college graduate, he understands and hopes to eliminate some of the challenges faced by students who wish to attend university, but perhaps do not have the necessary resources or guidance. However, no matter each student’s end goal, he hopes to guide every student down a path of personal success. In the context of his APHuG class, he aims to help everyone in his class earn college credit by preparing them to pass the AP exam held in May.

When he is not working with students, he enjoys spending time with family, visiting local parks, camping, noodling around on his piano, and walking his dog Tsunami.
