Reevaluation & Options

Reevaluation & Options

Class Rank starts at the end of the first semester of sophomore year and continues to be reevaluated at of each semester. No rank is final until all grades are validated at the end of senior year. Dallas ISD allows schools to choose between two options to assign class rankings.

Option 1:

  • Lincoln

  • Rosie M. Collins Sorrells School of Education & Social Services
  • Booker T. Washington
  • W.T. White

Option 2

Under this option, class rank is only assigned to the Top 10% of a given class, and rankings appear only on the academic achievement record (transcript) of students in the top 10 percent. Additionally, the district provides students in the top 10% a certification of class rank containing the student’s numerical class rank. The following high schools use Option 2 for class ranking:

  • Irma Lerma Rangel
  • School of Science & Engineering at Townview
  • School for the Talented & Gifted at Townview
